City boss Francesco Guidolin will miss Wednesday's Premier League game
at Arsenal as he has been taken to hospital with a chest infection.
The Welsh club said Guidolin, 60, is in a "comfortable position" and his full recovery is expected within a few days.
The Italian has been referred to a respiratory specialist in London.
"The specialist felt the best course of action was for Guidolin to remain in hospital for a few days to receive further treatment," the club said.
Swans coach Alan Curtis will take charge of the side during Guidolin's recovery period.
