A NEW Ambassador of Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to Tanzania Mr Jean Mutamba has asked the Congolese in the country to ensure they work with President John Magufuli’s line of work in order to enhance productive collaboration between the two countries.
Ambassador Mutamba made the call in Dar
es Salaam during a grand reception organized by the Embassy of Congo in
collaboration with the Congolese Community in the country to welcome
 him
 (Ambassador Mutamba) to Tanzania.
“I thank President John Magufuli for
welcoming me in Tanzania and I want to assure him that we Congolese in
his Country will ensure we collaborate and work more,” he said amid
cheers from the gatherings.
In line with that, Ambassador Mutamba
assured the Congolese in Tanzania including business people of his
government commitment to tackle out challenges facing them in the
country.
“I will meet with the government of
Tanzania to discuss how to tackle the challenges that faces the business
people from both Tanzania and Congo among others,” he noted and pointed
out lack of residential permits and visa problems mostly facing the
Congolese as among the main challenges he will ensure he tackles.
He, however, reiterated the need for the
Congolese in Tanzania to ensure they collaborate and work together as a
community in order to help improve their country’s development.
“I would like to see you (Congolese)
working together as brothers and sisters here in Tanzania, avoid greed
among other factors that may tear you apart (Congolese community),” he
said.
On the other hand, the Business
Congolese International Community in Tanzania, asked the new Ambassador
to solve out some of the challenges engulfing them when handling their
luggages and other dealings at the Dar es Salaam Port.
The Chairman of the Community, Mr
Mukendi Kabobu said the community faces a lot of problems at the ports,
especially when handling their containers at the Dar es Salaam Port.
