DAR ES SALAAM Gymkhana Club course will be busy this Saturday when over 80 golfers will be engaged in a race for tickets to play in the Turkish Grand Final.
The tournament is being organised by
Turkish Airline and is open to all golfers wishing to play and win the
chance to play in Turkey courtesy of Turkish Airline.
According to the statement released
yesterday by
Turkish Airline’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Warda Al
Sirery, the tournament will cover 18 holes in a stable ford point.
However, the official said only the net winners will get a ticket to
play in the grand final to be held in Antalya, Turkey.
“It is officially known as Turkish
Airlines World Golf Cup and is exclusive for amateur golfers. The grand
final is going to attract golfers from many parts of the globe,” she
said in her official letter.
According similar tournament will be
held in other areas of Turkish Airline destinations and the winners of
them, including the Tanzanian round will meet in the final to be played
in Turkey.
The event, according to the organisers
will draw participants to play in men and ladies categories. Also to be
recognised in the event, are winners of the longest drive from both men
and Ladies categories and closest to pin award for the both genders.
