Tanzania representatives in the CAF championships
Young Africans SC and Azam FC meet in a tough Mainland Premier League at
the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam this afternoonYanga are competing
in the African Champions League while Azam FC feature in the
Confederation Cup.
Yanga qualified for the Champions League first round last weekend
after eliminating Cercle de Joachim of Mauritius on a 3-0 aggregate in
preliminary round.
Azam FC start in the first round facing Bidvest of South Africa while Yanga play APR of Rwanda in the next stage.
Today’s game is rated big as both teams have been closely
contesting for the pilot seat, both having been on and off the top
position.
Defending champions Yanga have been camping in Pemba ahead of the
match while Azam FC were comfortably training in Dar es Salaam.
The victorious team will top the league as both sides currently tie on 46 points.
